Ta Zouzounia DVDs

Ta Zouzounia, The Collection - 9 Children's DVDs - Special Price (NTSC)
Ta Zouzounia DVD Set  - 9 DVD's of Greece's most popular children's musical group!
Shopping for these, I discovered my new favorite website: greekshops.com
Where do I start? The videos are so much fun -- again, real Greek songs that Yiayia will recognize! They are kinda low-budget productions, but captivating nevertheless, and after a few days of watching them, my kids are singing Greek songs! I had one disk -- the first, I believe: but we needed more after we discovered a few songs we loved on Youtube. So I called greekmusic.com where I have spent thousands of dollars over the years. They couldn't be bothered with me, and while I love being treated as Greekly as anyone, this mou'spase ta nevra. So I Googled until I found Greekshops.com, which not only had the whole set for an amazing price, but shipped it to me from California (I live in New York) in 2 days! Ordered on Wednesday, had it on Friday. Not Greek service at all, and I loved it! I ordered some books for the kids, too but they were on backorder, and clearly indicated as such on the packing list. E-mails were sent to me when they shipped along with tracking numbers -  beautiful, and more than I can say for most of my other experiences with ordering Greek stuff.  My best friend lives near their retail store in Santa Monica, so I am sending her on an investigative mission: will share her report from the field....

Taki the Talking Bear

Buy it. Ti na sou po? This bear wears the evzone outfit and sings real Greek songs -- not translated American or universal ones. He says the alphabet and counts in Greek. He's soft and adorable. You can even get a pillowcase with his picture on it: one side says kali nixta, and the other kali mera. Brilliant! One of my girlfriends got it for me when I had my first baby, because she thought it was the perfect thing for a crazy Greek girl like me.
Taki is sold and distributed by ellinasmultimedia.com. I talked to the guy who created the company, and I like him. I appreciate that he is out there making this stuff for my kids to enjoy, and I'm happy to support his enterprise.
